WHS Activities Director Eric Boyle

Warrior activities are a source of community pride. Our students, coaches, and directors work extremely hard to reach their fullest potential. We believe that lessons learned as a participant in an extracurricular activity have a positive impact on the lives of students. Activities are important at Waukee High School (WHS) and as a result, more than 75% of the student body participates in an extracurricular activity. We compete and perform at a high level, and our fans and their support make every Warrior event a special occasion.

Athletically, Warriors compete in 21 sports in the largest athletic conference in the state, the Central Iowa Metro League, and is a member of the Central Iowa Conference.  WHS also offers award-winning programs in vocal and instrumental music, speech, debate, and drama.

Our students are winners on the court, in the field and on stage. We have had many victories and championships to celebrate but more importantly, we have great success in the classroom to take pride in. During the past five years, every athletic team has received either the Excellence or Distinguished Academic Achievement Award given by the IHSAA and IGHSAU. Similarly, the combined cumulative GPA of students involved in Performing Arts is above 3.5.

We are committed to helping ensure our teams, ensembles and groups achieve the highest standards of excellence, not just in competition, but also in integrity, values and character.

Thanks for supporting WHS activities and GO WARRIORS!
