Waukee Warrior Cheerleading is a multi-squad program dedicated to promoting the Warrior Spirit and supporting athletic teams in grades 9-12. This program has successfully transitioned from a small, two-sport cheerleading program into its current six squads, three-sport cheerleading powerhouse.

Currently, Warrior Cheerleading has two Football Cheer Squads: Varsity and Jr. Varsity; two Basketball Cheer Squads: Varsity and JV; one Wrestling Cheer Squads: Varsity; and a Varsity Competition Cheer Squad.

Participation on any of these squads is through a try-out process conducted both in the Spring for Football and Competition Cheerleading and in the Fall for Basketball and Wrestling Cheerleading. This dual tryout process provides a greater opportunity for student participation.

Over the past several years, Warrior Cheerleading has developed a strong reputation statewide for its high level of skill both in the area of tumbling and stunting. Warriors have participated in numerous Iowa Cheerleading Coaches Association events such as the Iowa High School State Cheerleading Championships, the Iowa Cheer Honor Squad, and the All-State Cheerleading Squads. The Warrior Competition Squad has earned 12 top 10 finishes at the State Cheerleading Championships since 2008 including four State Championships and two runner-up finishes.

In addition to their state titles, the Warrior Competition Squad has competed nationally at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) High School National Cheerleading Championships with two national runner-up finishes and one fourth-place finish.
